Detroit -- A high-ranking aide to U.S. Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick says she was called to appear before a federal grand jury in Detroit.
Kilpatrick office manager Andrea Bragg disclosed the subpoena to House officials March 1. The notice was published Tuesday in the Congressional Record. There's no indication when Bragg was told to appear at the grand jury.
Kilpatrick's office declined comment Wednesday. Her son, ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, resigned and went to jail for obstruction of justice.
Federal authorities are investigating corruption in city government during Kwame Kilpatrick's tenure. He hasn't been charged.
Someone who answered the phone at Bragg's Detroit home declined comment Wednesday.
